Workshopscenen is currently going through a strategic transformation, evolving into an incubation centre for the higher educations in Arts in the Copenhagen Area. As a part of the transformation process, Workshopscenen will be changing its name to CAKI – Centre for Applied Artistic Innovation (Center for Anvendt Kunst og Innovation). CAKI will work to define art as a field that embraces artistic and social innovation, entrepreneurship and interdisciplinarity.

CAKI will initiate workshops and courses for students and teachers from the member institutions, focusing on entrepreneurship, sharing of knowledge, interdisciplinarity and artistic development. CAKI will actively contribute to strengthen the collaboration between the students and schools as well as with the corporate world.

Previously, Workshopscenen has served as a network for interdisciplinary projects among the art schools in Copenhagen. Workshopscenen has advised and financially supported interdisciplinary projects and arranged workshops and projects across the art schools. We continue to support these interdisciplinary activities but now also include projects working in areas of innovation and entrepreneurship.
